So Anne Hathaway as Catwoman... well I guess that will be interesting but can a sweetheart who has been in some stinker movies play the seductive manipulative badass hooker/thief of Catwoman?

Really? Bleck.

I thought she was the serious weak point in "Alice in Wonderland" most recently and she just doesn't fit the Catwoman role, if you ask me. (Not that Halle Berry did either, double-bleck.)

So, not really keen on the idea. Although, I'm biased... I thought Michelle Pfeiffer was the best Catwoman to date.

I'd be interested in seeing a different interpretation on the character but yeah it seems an odd choice.

Depending on what era of comics you read Selena "Catwoman" Kyle has been portrayed as a prostitute who turned to her felonious ways in part to protect her fellows and to steal things she saw when she was with her johns. Frank Miller's Batman Year One is perhaps the best written of that...

how cannon it is depends on who you ask...

that said Catwoman is nothing if not sexually liberated and active.

Frank Miller

Figures. Miller can't write anything without prostitutes in it.

Its true he can't and it does vary a lot for her.

Or ninja. And sometimes ninja prostitutes.

Ninja Prostitute would be a great buddy comedy

They already did it, I'm pretty sure. They had Cheerleader Ninjas and Ninja Cheerleaders (two separate movies, surprisingly).

Also, the ninja prostitute was Miho, from Sin City: The Big Fat Kill.

Nothing wrong with Ninja.

Of course not, I like them, too. They're just a recurring theme in Miller works. :-)

It's possible and Hathaway may have wanted the role to show off her range. After all, Amy Acker played both the innocent Fred and the demonic Illyria on the same series pretty effectively.

Its true. I'll remain cautiously optimistic that maybe she can pull it off.

One thign is for sure.

There must be a cage match between Hathaway and Johansson to determine who rocks the skin-tight bodysuit best.

I assume we all agree Halle Berry loses by default.

I also suspect Johansson would win if we were using her body from when she was catwoman.

Johansson... was catwoman.

Wut? I just looked through her IMDB and saw no mention of Catwoman.

sorry got confused there ignore me!

Hey Anne Hathaway has been stretching herself in many ways. Look at the sleeper "Rachel Getting Married". Plus I think she is much better suited for the role than Michelle Pfeiffer when she played it.

Hey its true she is a talented actress so we'll see what happens.

THESE ARE THE SAME COMMENTS PEOPLE MADE WHEN HEATH LEDGER WAS ANNOUNCED >=(

and he rocked that shit...he rocked that shit out

i think she can do it...it will be kind of cool to see, too :)

what's-his-face, I'm not positive about, but I haven't even heard of that villian, sooo...yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Okay good point maybe she'll blow me away and hey it will be a good movie. It just will be.

Bane was created int eh 80's during the so called Iron Age. So here are the basics: take a vigilante almost as smart as batman. Remove any rules about not killing. Make part of his background a military mercenary. Then give him a drug that he is addicted too that makes him stronger then a gorilla. That is Bane.

He was the supervillain who literally broke batman's back after releasing dozens of insane people from arkham asylum wearing batman down. In the comics Bane is a high level batman foe. So people who like the comics will kind of hope they give bane the nuance he deserves outside of the "superstrong and supertough badass" archetype.

AFAIK, Bane was not a military mercenary prior to his battle with Batman, but Hugo Strange did figure into his origin.

He was just in a prison almost literally since the day he was born and that's where the experiment took place.

What's-his-face? Do you mean Hugo Strange or Bane? :-)
