"Spill it, Short Legs!"

The Journal of Zia McCorgi

Small update
The Convention in Minneapolis was very nice but I was diverted yesterday to Allentown PA. My Mom on monday changed my flight arangements.

Grandpa was in a coma and I had to fly in. I arrived in the hosue fifteen minuets before he died. I was there for his death as was my sister Aunt Nora and Grandma.

I'll write a longer post later but please understand: he died in his sleep and was not in pain (he was being given morphen). His mind was gone long ago and hw was very upset near the end unable to make sense of the world.

When it comes to Alzheimers you say your goodbyes twice sometimes thrice. Once while they're still cognizant and once mroe when they die. It has been a painful experience for much of the family who lived in Pa and who were caring for him. Right now we are all just working through the grief, the relief and the funeral preperations. We're together and we'll be okay. I'll be okay too.

I just wanted to keep everyone aware.
