So Brian Jacques the writer of the Redwall series passed away due to a heart attach on the 5th of February. He was 71 years old.

I suspect a lot of people know who he is and already know about this but it still shocks me.

I'll admit it I was a huge Redwall fanatic. Around fourth grade I got into them and I've read every book in the series. I also admit yeah he repeated himself in a lot of his books and he could be formulaic. His first book's universe is slightly different from the future books too. I loved these books and they had a huge impact on me and my reading. I loved them. Martin the Warrior, Muriel of Redwall, Mossflower, Redwall, The Pearls of Lutra were some of my favorites.

He wrote these stories for disabled children to entertain them and then we got it later. I will say they had a huge impact of making me smile and i enjoyed them.

Mr. Jacques you did very well you wrote books I really enjoyed and you entertained small children. Thank you for everything.
